Wessex Security Agency Ltd is one of 31 UK training centres fully endorsed by the NFPS: National Federation of Personal Safety. As a licensed centre, we are insured, hold all required first aid qualifications, and display the approved NFPS logo to confirm our competency in delivering BTEC Level 2 and 3 Physical Restraint Instruction awards.
We are audited and approved by NFPS Ltd and offer security courses in partnership with OJAST Training Services, a leading UK provider. Our certified course packages for schools, care providers, and private companies equip staff with the skills needed to manage challenging situations while ensuring safety for all involved.

We teach:
Chapter 8 traffic management which covers:
- The legal and safety requirements including the highway act and road traffic acts
- How to plan for different conditions, protect workers and pedestrians and maintain traffic flow.
- Techniques for road closures, placement of equipment for example signs, cones, barriers and rolling roadblocks.
- How to implement traffic management plans
- Correct PPE requirements
A traffic management course is vital for ensuring safety and compliance during roadworks or events. It teaches legal requirements, practical planning, and effective strategies to protect people and keep traffic flowing smoothly, making professionals safer and more capable in their roles.
All members of our Chapter 8 team are fully accredited and professionally trained in the H.O.T. protocol, “Run, Hide, Tell,” and Martyn’s Law (the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025). Additionally, each team member possesses hands-on experience in all areas of traffic management.
